Wednesday 4th of April. 6am. Ubba the campervan and myself (Laura) start our journey to Skye in the great company of Edinburgh based singer-songwriter David Cornwall. Counting the days to our gig in Cafesia (Broadford) we decide to go on a wee exploration of the isle in all its glory.
Have a look at the stunning Old Man of Storr:
On Saturday the 7th we rock the town in collaboration with fiddler Kevin McCann on a gig full of good old tunes and nostalgia. Many of the songs of The Fall of The Northern Star originally took shape thanks to Kevin's magical fiddle playing back in 2016.
We even take time to stay another day in the isle and practice other types of art:
We leave Skye and on our way to Newcastle we take a shorcut and visit the beautiful Isle of Mull because we like using our time wisely.
Here's also some photos:
On Saturday 14th we finally make it to Newcastle to delight ourselves playing for the first time at the vibrant Bar Loco. Both myself and David C had an amazing time on stage and sang our way back to Edinburgh on Sunday.
Thank you very much to every member of the crowd and the staff.
Here's a pic of our game faces, well chuffed after the gig:
We look forward to being back on the road for more music and more adventures. Thank you very much to everyone who attended or somehow helped the gigs.
Love, wheels and music <3
